Let's Take an Asset Approach

School improvement efforts can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. It's important to start with what's going right--what your team or organization does well and using that moving forward. It is also vital to consider what tools you have and rethink how you can use them to your advantage.

What we do

Plan Development and Implementation

Developing a plan requires a team approach. Let's go over your data and discuss what has been done historically and review your goals. In order for you to reach your goals, we need to develop a solid implementation plan.

Social Media Planning and Promotions

Social media is a great tool to get your message out--if used correctly. As we take an asset approach to school improvement, let's look around your organization and begin to celebrate online examples of what makes your organization great.

Click on this link to see a sample school survey that was used to question staff members on social media use and policy development.

Communication Plan

When it comes to school improvement efforts, it's essential to have a solid communication plan. Within the organization, how well are your team members communicating? Click here to view a sample communication plan.

I also have the complete Adobe Suite and can create infographs to communicate your messages and plans.

Data Collection Tool Development

In order to know if your plan is working, you will need to create a system that collects data. I can help with that.

I'm Qualtrics certified, and I've created many data collection tools. I was asked to present at the Qualtrics' national online K12 conference where I shared how to collect data and review it for school improvement efforts. Qualtrics tweeted, "Hop onto http://k12week.com right now to hear one of the revolutionary leaders in data collection, @ReginaNavejar . She's killing it!"

If you don't have a Qualtrics account, that's ok. We can use your existing platforms (SmartSheet, Google, Microsoft, etc.).

Thought Partner

Sometimes all we need is someone to bounce ideas off of. Let's talk about your current needs and goals. We can meet in person or virtually and map out your goals and create steps with a timeline.

Building Capacity

I will consider myself successful when you no longer need my services. What does that mean? That means that part of my job is to help your staff have the skills they need to continue the work.

Equity Designer

Mica Pollock (2017), in her book, School Talk: Rethinking What we Say About-And to--Students Every Day, defined an Equity Designer as, "...someone who ask, daily, which actions and situations need to be improved so all young people get the opportunities and support they need and deserve (pg. 3)." We can, and should, be Equity Designers.

As we work on your school improvement efforts, we will look to see how we can improve the educational experiences of all students. We will also take a look at your disproportionality rate to ensure students of color, students in the Special Education Program and English Language Learners get the learning experiences they need and deserve.
